What is Asthma?

Asthma is an illness characterized by episodes of breathing difficulty accompanied with the sensation of suffocation due to the restricted respiratory tract inside the lungs.

What is Bronchial Asthma?

It is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airway in the lungs in which many cells and cellular elements play a role.  This inflammation causes recurrent episodes of wheezing, breathlessness, chest lightness, coughing particularly at nigh and in the early morning. The constriction of respiratory tract and inflammation is caused by three main

factors

1. The bronchial muscle next to each bronchial tube contracts causing a stifling or spasm and the inability to breath deeply and easily.

2. Accumulation of mucous in the bronchial tube

3. Inflammation of the mucous membrane in bronchial tube or a combination of the three.

Composition of Breath Power X-tra

            Each Capsule of 500mg contains:

            Dattura metal Linn       -            250mg

            Aswaganda                -            125mg

            Dathri                       -            125mg

Dattura Metal Linn

It is an unique Ayurvedic herb well documented in the books of Ayurveda. The active principle is extracted from the seed and the leaf of the plant. It relaxes and smoothes muscles of the bronchial tube and reduce the broncho spasm.  It effectively controls the respiratory secretions in palliative care and act on parasympathic nervous system, inhibits salivary sweat and mucus gland and decreases bronchial secretions.

Aswaganda: Withaniya Sominifera

It is a strong anti oxidant by that it will help to  increase health and longevity.  It is a non-toxic herb that works on non specific basis to normalize the physiological function.  It has antibacterial and anti inflammatory action, harmonize the immune system and show positive effect on the CNS.  It has sedating property, by that is used as a anti-stress agent and adaptogen. It has tonic effect on lungs and heart.  It stabilize the blood pressure and regulate the heartbeat.

Dathri:  Amalaki

It is enriched with Vit. C and act as a powerful immune modulator  and prevent the superoxide induced hormolysis of erythrocytes.  It provides relief from oxidative stress and improve glucose metabolism.  It is useful in post illness recovery and palpitation. It has potent free radical scavanching activity.

Indication

Kasa Swasa (Bronchial Asthma, Bronchitis Cough and Expectoration.)Breath Power Xtra reduces the frequency of attack and intensity of asthmatic paroxysms.  Liquefies the mucous and  expel through expectoration and ease breathing.

Dose

1 capsule twice daily after food (delay by ½ an hour) preferably with Jeeraka (Cumin seed) water

Course   

It is a course for 2 months without any interruption for better result

Adjuvants

Jeeraka (cumin seed) water is the preferable adjuvant

Result

Breath Power Xtra is found to give result within 2 weeks after starting the cause for persons without any systemic disease. The effect of Breath Power X-tra lasts lifelong for those who complete the course of 2 months.  During the course of treatment the asthmatic symptoms may flare up in between 10^th to 15^th day of treatment.  During this time one can use the drugs which they have taken before to alleviate the symptoms (Allopathy, Homeo and Ayurveda).  Flare up of the symptoms is considered to be an indication that the drug is working and is assured of permanent relief from Asthma

Overdosage

Dry mouth, Dysphagia, Constipation, flushing and dryness of skin, Trachycardia palpitations, photophobia, restlessness, confusion, excitement and Hallucinations etc. may occur.  To overcome these problems take tender coconut water or Jeeraka (Cumin seed) water in plenty or Lemon Juice with sugar.

Caution

1. Do not exceed the recommended dosage or otherwise prescribed by the Physician

2. In the case of over dosage consult the doctor immediately

3. In order to overcome the problems of over dosage consume  tender coconut water and jeeraka (Cumin seed) water or Lime Juice with sugar in plenty

4. Vertigo and vomiting may persist in certain patients in the beginning of treatment.  To overcome the symptoms consume sugar added  Lemon juice in plenty

5. Avoid milk, buttermilk, curd, cold water, fish, meat and fruits

6. In chronic cases and in old age the duration of treatment may exceed from 2 months to 4 months

7. Patients with Glaucoma, Acute Hemorrhage, Paralytic ileus, Cardiac Insuffiency , Prostrate Hypertrophy, Mayastania Gravis and Pylaria Stenosis should use this medicine with precaution

Drug Interactions

Breath Power Xtra has no interaction with Allopathy, Ayurvedic and Homeo Medicines.Diabetic, Hypertensive, Hyperlipidimia patients can also use this edicine
